In a post on Twitter, Huawei said the Australian government's decision was "extremely disappointing to consumers" and emphasized that "Huawei is the world leader in 5G."

Prior to this, in Australia, national security officials were reportedly concerned about the relationship between Huawei and the Chinese government.

In a statement released on the 23rd, the Australian government said, "It is likely that we have received instructions outside the jurisdiction of a foreign government that conflicts with Australian law." "Protecting the 5G network from unauthorized access and interference" may not be possible.

The statement does not name China or Huawei.

Huawei has repeatedly refuted these concerns, emphasizing that the company is an "employee shareholding private company" with no other shareholders.
