AQUOS R has about 22.6 million pixels, which is the highest number of pixels among the four models this time. The angle is wider than others, but the number of pixels is large, so the amount of information should be amazing. In addition, the multi-AF function automatically focuses on subjects other than the center.

Many smartphone cameras focus on the center unless the face is detected, so you have to use touch AF when the main subject is at the edge, but the AQUOS R can see other than the center. This is good.

Next, let's take a look at the image of the blue sky. It's the usual gas tank.

First, check the color and gradation. Again, it's amazing that only the AQUOS R has a very wide range, but let's take a look at the colors.

It is interesting that the same blue sky is quite different. The Xperia XZ Premium has a solid contrast and the shadow of the gas tank is clearly visible.

The colors of the gas tank are close to those seen with the naked eye in the Xperia XZ Premium and P10 Plus. AQUOS R and Galaxy S8 + are a little cool.

Let's take a look at the descriptive power of the details. I enlarged the area around the gas tank hidden behind the center.

The checkpoints are whether the wires that support the handrails and lightning rods of the gas tank in the back are properly depicted, whether there is noise on them, and whether the edges of the gas tank are unnatural.

Unfortunately, I can't see the thin wire on the AQUOS R. It was Xperia XZ Premium that had high detail depiction. The Galaxy S8 + is a little sharper. The P10 Plus has some sweet details, but it doesn't have any unnatural sharpness, so it's good to be natural.

With that feeling, the Xperia XZ Premium is excellent for landscape checks. I wonder if AQUOS R has increased the number of pixels too much.
