The Oculus official blog has officially announced that the Oculus brand will be discontinued.

"Oculus Quest from Facebook" branding changed to "Meta Quest". "Oculus application" will also change to "Meta Quest application" in the future.

We are planning to change the printing on the outer box of the headset sold at the same time and the name of the social media account.

The reason for the name change is to clarify that the VR headset "Quest" is a product of Meta, with the goal of connecting 1 billion people to the world of VR, and to make the brand more clear. I explained that I decided to leave the Oculus brand for simplicity.

Oculus was owned by Facebook. As we've known since Facebook changed its name to Meta, it's also a little sad.
