Try "Huawei Share" from Huawei's "Airdro"

The iPhone and iPad have a function called "AirDrop," which is nicknamed "AirDrop." It is a file transmission / reception mechanism that can be used between Apple products, and it uses Wi-Fi as the communication path, so the speed is fast. Since the terminals communicate directly with each other, it is also an advantage that "giga does not decrease". It is useful for users because it can be sent quickly from the shared menu.

Recently, some people have used this function to send obscene images at random, and "Airdoro Molester" has become a problem in some cases, but the tool is just a tool. It's a very convenient way to use it for legitimate purposes.

Android, on the other hand, unfortunately doesn't have a similar feature. It seems that Wi-Fi Direct is close to that, but unlike the iPhone, it can not be called quickly from the shared menu, and whether it is supported or not depends on the model. Android Beam cannot be used if the other party does not support NFC, the communication path becomes Bluetooth, and it takes time to send one image. It's not easy to use because the terminals have to be very close to each other.

AirDrop of iPhone that is delayed quickly. There are ways to send and receive files, nicknamed AirDrop, but none of them have reached the level of usability of AirDrop. The image is Android Beam

However, in the case of Android, manufacturers may implement functions that are close to their own. Huawei, the manufacturer of the "HUAWEI P20 Pro HW-01K" that I use, is one of them. The company has prepared "Huawei Share" as a unique function, and the P20 Pro released by DoCoMo also supports this properly. To put it plainly, Huawei Share is a Huawei version of Airdro. Usability is very close, including what is displayed in the shared menu.

When I actually tried it, I was able to send it to the other party almost instantly if it was about one photo taken with the P20 Pro. It took a while for a video of over 300MB, but it still took about 50 seconds. Considering uploading to the cloud and sending it to the other party saves a lot of time. As with Airdoro, I felt that it was a merit that the giga did not decrease.

When you receive some kind of file from the other party, just select "Accept" or "Reject". Huawei Share hasn't sent you any weird images yet, but if you suddenly get a file from someone you don't know, you should reject it. This is because Android has a higher degree of freedom in installing apps and file systems than the iPhone, and it also poses a security risk.

I thought it was just an "inspired" function of Airdoro, but I felt that it could be evaluated because the plus α unique to Huawei was properly added. Specifically, if you use Huawei Share, you will be able to refer to the files in the terminal from a PC on the same network. It is necessary to turn on this function separately and set an ID and password.

With one "Huawei Share" image originally implemented by Huawei, you can refer to the data in the P20 Pro from a PC connected to the same network that can be shared almost instantly.

The bottleneck so far is that this feature doesn't really come into play unless you give it a try. If the number of users using Huawei terminals increases, the chances of success may increase, but unfortunately, the probability of using it is lower than the iPhone used by one in two smartphone users. .. Huawei's handsets have increased their share in the SIM-free market and are being adopted by major carriers one after another, so I'd like to expect them in the future.

However, even with Android, it is unlikely that everyone will use Huawei devices. The appeal of Android is that it has the faces of various manufacturers, and it is a contradiction that one company is in an oligopolistic state. I wanted Google to realize the same function by taking the lead without depending on one manufacturer.
